The Plan goes off
without any with many hitches.
With a master plan just crazy enough to work, the adventurers attempt a daring rescue of Leosin in the dead of night. Ea and Kaiden will attempt to start a fight in order to distract the camp while Ryu and Kellin spider in to get Leosin. Meanwhile, Crispin tries to not get himself killed and save some innocents along the way.
Ea and Kaiden’s brilliant plan is to waltz right into camp like they belong there and then start some shit. It doesn’t go terribly well, despite some zippy one-liners. “Get out of here before it gets ugly,” says a mercenary to Kaiden. “It already got ugly when you took your helmet off,” our pugnacious human door-holder retorts. With tensions high and daggers pulled, Ea runs off to the cultist tents to deceive them into joining the conflict. The cultists and mercenaries face off but cooler heads prevail and no real fight breaks out. Ea is caught in a last ditch effort to start some tents on fire…
Meanwhile, Kellin, Ryu and Crispin are in position, nervous that the camp is still decidedly not distracted. Ten, fifteen, twenty minutes pass and finally Crispin finds an opening to put his part of the plan in motion. Disguised as Rezmir, the Dragon Lady (a role he was born to play), Crispin orders the cultists guarding the prison tents away from prisons and frees the prisoners. Upon seeing the prison guards leave their posts, Kellin and Ryu spring into action saving the awake and alive, but very beat up Leosin from his brutal internment. With a little healing from Kellin and Crispin, Leosin and the prisoners are in good enough shape to make their way out of the camp.
Back on the other side of the camp, Ea manages to incite some of the dragon dogs with promises of meat raising tensions enough that Ea and Kaiden can extricate themselves from the camp without too much trouble. With everyone out of the camp, haste is made back to Greenest to catch up with Leosin and plan our next noble scheme.
